Artemis
In 2004, Artemis joined The Bungalows, a 5-piece original rock band
founded in 2002 by Oshawa guitarist and song-writer, Ray Gauvin.
Lead singer, Jim Parker, bass player, Randall Mathieu, and
drummer, Anton Cook, soon became respected musical friends.
A few years later, the band took on a new bassist, Karl Rigelhof, and
a new drummer, Carl Pauff, still featuring both Artemis and Jim on
lead vocals and acoustic guitar, Ray on lead guitar, and keyboard
player and vocalist, Heather Sullivan, having changed their name in
2008 to The Genuines..
After six exciting years with the band, three as its keyboard player /bg
vocalist and three as acoustic guitarist, rock flutist, and co-lead vocalist
Artemis made the decision in December of 2009 to devote more time
to the growing needs of the School Alliance of Students
Songwriters and her family. These photos and information are a
tribute to her hard-working friends in The Genuines, one of Ontario's
fine, original rock & roll bands.
Below is The Genuines' last group gig picture taken at The Groove
Lounge on December 12, 2009.
